This table lamp has a traditional style and form. Dark metal borders the natural mica shade. Mica is a natural rock product in flake form that is bonded with shellac to form solid translucent panels. This accent lamp is a classic design from Dirk Van Erp, a master lamp smith from San Francisco. In 1910, Van Erp discovered the method of making lampshades from translucent, crystofized mica minerals. This table lamp features exactly that, an amber mica finish.
